No purchase, no payment and no bet of any kind is ever needed to enter or to win. The game is free, it is decided by skill, and it is paid for by the advertiser whose brand flies over the city that day.
Anyone aged 18 or over, wherever entry is lawful where you live. One account per person. You need a working email address on your account, because that is the only way we can reach you if you win. Accounts marked as test accounts, and accounts banned for breaking these rules, are not eligible.
A week is an ISO calendar week counted in UTC, and it ends at 00:00 UTC on Monday. Everyone in the world plays the same game during that week: the layout is generated from a seed shared by every player, so nobody gets an easier run than anybody else.
One point for every gate you pass. Five points for every star you collect. One extra point for every gate you pass inside the shaving margin, which is the narrow band close to the edge. Your week is your single best run, not the total of your runs, so one good run is all it takes and playing more often does not by itself help you.
The highest score of the week wins. If two players finish level, the one who reached that score first wins, by the time the score was recorded on our server. A run that fails our checks is held for review and does not count while it is held.
Every winning run is replayed on our server before anything is paid, and then read by a human being. A week whose top run has not been cleared by a person is recorded with the winner named and the payment held, not quietly paid and not quietly dropped. If the review shows the run was not played by a human at a keyboard, it is disqualified and the prize passes to the next eligible score.
When a week is settled and cleared, the winning run is published in full: every input, in order. Anyone can replay it in their own browser at exocet.ai/verify/ and watch the score being recomputed from scratch. If the published number and the recomputed number disagree, the page says so. We would rather you checked than believed us.
One prize of 100 US dollars per week, to one winner. We write to the email address on your account. Reply within 30 days, or the prize is forfeited and may be awarded to the next eligible score. Payment is made by a method agreed with you, within 30 days of us having what we need to send it. Prizes are paid in US dollars; any currency conversion, transfer charge or bank fee at your end is yours.
A prize is income, and the tax on it is the winner's responsibility. Where the law requires it, we will ask you for the tax details we need before we can pay, and we may be required to report what we have paid you. If you would rather not give those details, we cannot pay the prize.
Play it with your hands. No scripts, no bots, no automated input, no replaying a run made by a program, no more than one account, and no sharing an account between people. The game is deterministic on purpose, which means a run can be examined long after it was played. Breaking this costs you the prize and the account.
If no eligible score is set in a week, no prize is paid for that week. Prizes do not roll over or accumulate.
Your email is used to reach you about the prize and about your account. It is not sold, not rented and not passed to advertisers, and the site carries no trackers. You can ask us to delete your account and your address at any time.
These rules may change. The version shown on this page when a week ends is the one that applies to that week. We may change the prize, pause the game or stop it altogether, and if we do, the current week is finished and paid first.
The game is run by Exocet. Nothing on this page is a promise that you will win, and nothing here creates any right to a prize beyond the one week you actually win.
